Privacy Statement
The SmartCAT app is designed to be used by children and adolescents ages 8-16 with anxiety. Currently, SmartCAT is only available to children and adolescents at participating schools and clinics as part of the SmartCAT in the Community Projects.
Data collected in the app are used for the purpose of improving the quality of treatment for children receiving services at the participating sites, and learning about how to improve the app and its dissemination for the future. Health information generated or transmitted using this mobile application – including behavioral health information – will be available only to the user’s treatment team and researchers at the University of Pittsburgh. App usage data is deidentified. Potentially identifiable information generated from photos and messages that the user sends to his/her clinician within the app will be removed from the dataset to protect the user’s privacy.
